Who is Cozy Powell?

How do you start a page on Cozy Powell? Simple. Describe him - "...the loudest and best stick swiper in the world...", as introduced by Brian May on his Back To The Light tour. "One of Britain's finest rock drummers" would also sum him up fairly accurately.

I first heard Cozy Powell playing on Brian's solo album, Back To The Light. He was good. Very good. Then I went and saw them on tour and saw Cozy playing live. It was at that moment that I realised I had seriously underrated him.

After that I started tracking down his earlier stuff. Rainbow, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath - the list of bands grew and grew. To sum it up, Cozy has played with some really big names in the hard rock world.
